Her name was "Hope"
so long as I kept her in my sight
I knew everything could work out right
I hung on with all my might
and, like a mountain goat
she proved as stubborn as she could be
and all the the darkest nights I'd see
she hung in there with me
and the nights grew dark and cold
and I'd lose sight of my soul
yeah, the nights were dark and cold
but she held me tight
through it all
her name was "Hope"
