Nina Jo
Smith is a natural-born Indie Grrl (born on the 4th of
July). She accompanies her sweet voice and wry, wise lyrics
with clean, inventive fingerpicking on 6- and 12-string
guitars. She recently began making music again after a long
silence. For twenty years after her brother was killed, Nina
Jo devoted herself to anti-violence work. She studied
martial arts, taught self-defense to more than a thousand
people and continues to do visionary antiviolence work. |
