Recording Session at Last Stop
Records
September 22-24, 2003

Alex James Muscat in the
control room.
I did a three
day session with Alex in the afternoon/evenings of September
22-24, 2003. We did what mixing we could on the July 14th
live recordings from our feature at the Utah. We then spent
the better part of the next two days tracking most of
"Greener Side". Jeff Belbey came in on Tuesday for his parts
on the mando. Thanks to Jeff for that. We did some mixing
and vocals on the third day. Alex is really great to work
with. He has creative ideas, and plays a multitude of
instruments, as needed.
I'm looking forward to completing this long awaited studio
CD, "Thru The Open Gate".

Jeff Belbey laying down mandolin on
"Greener Side"
The live acoustic version from the Utah CD was just Jeff and
me that night. The studio version will have that flavor, and
added treats.

It was rather warm out that day.
Thanks to everyone who came out. My cousin, Cindy, was here
from Southern California. She and my mama made it up to the
wine country to see us play.
thanks for the pics, Sue.
