A great time was had by all, and the rain waited (mostly) until the market was over. Thanks to market manager, Janice, for providing a nice cover in the weather, and for your very kind words about our music. Great fun, lots of families, good food, and for us a great time getting to play together. Thanks also, Elisa, for coming out and gathering the hummingbirds, as it were. Jim and Dave, you guys rock, too! Even my lovely bride made it out. We look forward to more days like this next year. Love to all.

Bryan Harrison Band
Dave Coan & Friends

Ireland's 32
This was a good evening that unfortunately soured in a big way at the end. Scaramanga (Jim Hamilton and friends) were just a few songs into their second set when, after a kick-ass rendition of "Oh Darling", the house suddenly and without warning turned on the jukebox - in mid-song. Needless to say, the boys in the band were none too pleased. Bad form on Ireland 32's part. So much for a tribute to Brendan. I seriously doubt he would have ever done that.

All that said, our two sets went really well. Jim and Dave and I did the trio thing, and it was working out nicely. Even having Murphy, the dog, pissing on the floor in front of the stage was fun (his owners got to clean it up. :-)

We had a really fun night at Cafe Lo Cubano. Our thanks to Mel, Chelsea, and the staff, for having us there, and to all the folks who hung out for our lil show.
Dave introduced us all to his new congas, and Jimmy and I did our musical thing to the rhythmic beat.

at the
Walnut Creek Farmers' Market
What a great day at this, our original, market! We all agreed it was much more like a faire or festival than what you'd consider a "farmers' market". Five hours straight of big crowds and good music. We had the full band, along with Elisa Welch, for a magical kinda groove. Gotta love it!
Our thanks to Keith Farley and the whole staff of the Contra Costa Farmers' Markets. You guys do a great job.

Super Satish!
Dave Coan & Friends

Ireland's 32
A fun night at Ireland's. We opened: Jimmy Dave Elisa and me, before Satish and his friend, Dan, from Chicago played a very cool set with Dave. The festivities were saddened two days later when we learned of the death of Ireland's owner and ardent local music supporter, Brendan Daly.

as we celebrate PEACE! with a

Code Pink Benefit

Bryan Harrison Band
Barbary Coast Allstars
Elisa M. Welch
Nina Jo Smith

at
El Rio
The Code Pink Benefit was a grand success. We shared the stage to a full house at El Rio. Nina Jo Smith began the evening with a short set, inviting the band to join her on the last song, "Make Love not War".
Elisa Welch followed her with a cool, mostly solo, set. We then all joined her for the a few numbers before the Barbary Coast Allstars played a full set, engaging the crowd. BHB followed. Elisa filled in the bass parts on keys as Mike had to head to LA for a gig down that-a-way. Loved having the dancers out there... and the group seemed to really appreciate "Guilty" and "You Won't Know My Name". Go figure ;-)
We apparently helped raise some pretty substantial fundage for Code Pink, as well.

If you will be arriving on the 4th of July, you should plan to come early and you are welcome to stay late....

By 11:00am on the 4th of July we will have music, food and festivities in full effect.

The Sun and Moon Farm in Kenwood, California sits on a four acre vineyard with total privacy beneath the sun and moon, the property includes deck and garden seating, an in ground pool and hut tub.

The City Of Kenwood is located in the beautiful Valley of the Moon in Sonoma County. A small village sitting between Santa Rosa and Sonoma, it is about 60 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are a few local ways to get there if you follow a map well, but from north or south, take Hwy 101 to Santa Rosa then Hwy. 12 east Sonoma. Kenwood is about 14 miles from Santa Rosa. It is a small town and Hwy 12 goes through the middle of it. Warm Springs Road will be a right hand turn off of Highway 12, Sun & Moon Farm is a few streets down on the right! . (Past Park Plaza).

On the 4th of July, The City of Kenwood throws a huge bash as part of the World Pillow Fighting Contest in Park Plaza on Warm Springs Road, which is located 100 yards down the road from the Sun and Moon Farm where we are having our big bash.

This weekend is always a big party in Kenwood, check out this web site for all the crazy details, they have a blues band scheduled to rock at 11:00am. Check it out!
http://www.kenwoodpillowfights.com When they shut down at 5pm - we will be going strong with music and festivities going into the evening... See You there!!!!
